Twenty-three-year-old Gurpreet Singh (pictured in a red turban) was shot dead in Richmond, CA around 1a.m. this morning as he went to pick up a fare in his taxi cab. By the afternoon, police had a break in the case.

Amric Singh Case Update

The Amric Singh case entered the discovery phase three weeks ago. The Sikh Coalition attorneys and the NYPD attorneys are requesting documentation from all parties.The case will go to trial in October timeframe.

Sikhs Beaten near Hemkunt Sahib
A Sikh jatha was severely beaten by the local residents near Hemkunt Sahib. They were greatly outnumbered and beaten with swords, sticks, and were stoned.
When they took refuge in the Gurdwara of Gobind Ghaat, the mob attacked the Gurdwara and damaged the building. Two dozen Sikhs, who were defending themselves, were arrested.
